What is CoolSculpting?

CoolSculpting is a leading non-surgical fat reduction treatment that uses controlled cooling to eliminate unwanted fat cells. The technology behind CoolSculpting, known as cryolipolysis, targets and cools fat cells to a temperature that causes their natural death, all without harming the surrounding tissue. Over time, your body naturally processes and removes these dead cells, resulting in a more sculpted you.

How Does CoolSculpting Work?

  • Targeted Treatment: A gel pad and applicator are applied to the targeted area. The CoolSculpting device then gently suctions the skin and fat, delivering precisely controlled cooling to the fat cells underneath.
  • Fat Cell Elimination: The treated fat cells are crystallized (frozen), then die. Over the following weeks, your body naturally processes the fat and eliminates these dead cells.
  • Results: Results can be seen as early as three weeks after treatment, with the most dramatic results occurring between one and three months after your session.

Time

CoolSculpting sessions typically last between 35 to 75 minutes per cycle, depending on the area being treated. Each session can last from 1 to 3 hours on average.

Results

Cryolipolysis, known as fat freezing, eliminates fat cells gradually, allowing your body to naturally remove the fat. Visible results can be seen as early as 1 month, with continued improvement up to 3 months. In some cases, two treatments may be necessary for optimal results in the same area.

Price

The average cost of CoolSculpting is about $3,200, but this can vary based on the provider and the number of sessions needed. Some areas may be treated with a single session, while others might require multiple sessions for optimal results.

Downtime

CoolSculpting requires little to no downtime, allowing patients to return to their normal activities immediately after treatment. There might be some slight stiffness, redness, tenderness, or bruising in the treated area, but these effects are usually temporary and resolve within a few hours to a few weeks.
